Secure your identity assets<\/span><\/h2>\n

Naturally, we believe that the best way to be absolutely sure that\u00a0your identity assets are safe, is to put them out of the reach of\u00a0identity thieves with iDovos. One of the easiest and most efficient ways to accomplish\u00a0this is by using a small shredder, which can be obtained relatively cheaply,\u00a0under $50.00 USD as of the time in which this site is being created.<\/p>\n

2. \u00a0Where possible, stop paper statements<\/span><\/h2>\n

Along the same lines as above, reducing the amount of physical paper\u00a0containing sensitive information reduces your target exposure correspondingly.<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Check your credit report frequently<\/span><\/h2>\n

You’ve probably heard this quite a bit, but it is no less true: check your credit\u00a0report frequently for signs that credit fraud has occurred. Free credit reports\u00a0can be obtained from the three major Credit Reporting Agencies (CRA’s): \u00a0 Transunion, Equifax, and Experian.<\/p>\n

4. \u00a0Make sure sensitive information passed over the internet is secure<\/span><\/h2>\n

When passing sensitive information over the\u00a0internet, e.g. social security numbers, credit card\u00a0numbers, account numbers, etc., make sure that\u00a0the second-party transactor has applied encryption\u00a0controls which will ensure that the information you\u00a0pass will be unviewable if somehow intercepted.<\/p>\n

5. \u00a0Change passwords frequently<\/span><\/h2>\n

Reduce the chances that a thief will obtain vital information electronically by\u00a0creating challenging passwords, and changing them frequently.<\/p>\n

6. Destroy credit cards which are expired or no longer needed<\/span><\/h2>\n

Again, reducing the number of physical locations where sensitive information\u00a0resides, correspondingly reduces the chances of that information being\u00a0compromised.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
